通信業界リーダーが3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE)を包含した標準仕様を公表

産業協力団体CPRI(Common Public Radio Interface)は進化を続けています：協力会社として新たにAlcatel-LucentがEricsson, Huawei,
NEC, Nokia Siemens Networks, Nortelの共同体に加わりました。
今まで成功裏に拡張してきたプログラムに続き、６社はLTE (Long Term Evolution)での開発を包含するよう拡張した新仕様を完成させました。CPRI仕様バージョン４．０は本CPRIホームページよりダウンロード可能です。
CPRIは3G無線基地局機器内唯一の無線ベースの接点であるであり、無線部と制御部を分離するインタフェースの設計に集中して取り組みました焦点を当てています。これにより基地局機器内のそれぞれの部品部分のより一層の技術革新を促すことが可能となります。
CPRI標準は無線通信業界のために公開されます。通信事業者にとってはいかなる応用局面へも対応する幅広い製品を迅速に市場提供することが可能になります。また基地局メーカや部品メーカにとっても、各社の競争力のある部分の技術開発に注力できるようになります。CPRI標準はモジュールの大きさや定義済みの機能分担に限定されることなく、新たな機器アーキテクチャを可能とするものです。
CPRIの活動は既存の標準化団体を補完するものであり、開発された標準インターフェースは携帯無線基地局機器に活用されるものです。

2.1,3.0,4.0に追加して）公開しており、本ホームページのSpecificationのページからダウンロード可能です。新リリースVer.4.1はLTE (Long Term Evolution) 用により高いラインレートを包含する仕様に拡張されました。CPRI参加各社はこの仕様に準じた様々な製品を市場に出しています。
