Q: How can my company benefit from CPRI?

A: CPRI is a cooperation between five companies: Ericsson, Huawei, NEC, Nortel and Siemens. The CPRI Specification will be made public, and will be free for all companies to use. Progress on the specification work will be reported regularly. In addition anyone who wishes may contribute ideas, proposals and comments to CPRI during the specification work.

Q: How can my company contribute proposals and comments to CPRI?

A: Comments and proposals to CPRI can be submitted from a form on this homepage, see www.cpri.info/comments.htm.

Q: Why is the CPRI interface not defined by existing standards bodies such as 3GPP?

A: The CPRI initiative is a complement to current activities in formal standards organizations such as 3GPP and 3GPP2. There are numerous industry forums similar to CPRI (e.g. Bluetooth SIG, Open Mobile Alliance, OMA) in which system vendors and other companies participate.
