A successful Industry cooperation

The Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI™) is the successful industry cooperation defining the publicly available specification for the key internal interface of radio base stations between the Radio Equipment Control (REC) and the Radio Equipment (RE). The Parties cooperating to define the CPRI Specification has been expanded and are now encompassing Ericsson, Huawei, NEC, Nortel, Nokia Siemens Networks and Alcatel-Lucent.

The CPRI Specification versions 1.4, 2.1, 3.0 and 4.0 are now available for download on the Specification section of this homepage. A variety of CPRI products have been made available to the market by the individual CPRI Parties.

October 04 2008
The CPRI Specification versions 4.0 (in addition to 1.4, 2.1, 3.0) is now available for download on the Specification section of this homepage. The new 4.0 release extend the specification to encompass the developments for LTE (Long Term Evolution). A variety of CPRI products have been made available to the market by the individual CPRI Parties.

CPRI specifications version 1.4, 2.1, and 3.0 are now available for download. Version 3.0 contains the addition of WiMAX, an increase in the line bit rate and the inclusion of change requests. Version 1.4 and 2.1 is unchanged.

August 29 2006
CPRI specifications version 1.4 and 2.1 are now available for download. Version 1.4 contains editorial and corrective changes from version 1.3. Version 2.1 contains editorial and corrective changes from version 2.0.

October 15 2004
CPRI specifications version 1.3 and 2.0 are now available for download. Version 1.3 contains editorial and corrective changes from version 1.2. Version 2.0 contains support for networking.
